ABOUT BEANSTALK ZIPLINES
A BRIEF HISTORY...
Mike Fischesser, founder of Alpine Towers, opened Beanstalk Ziplines June of 2010 at the Catawba Meadows Park, located in Morganton, North Carolina. The “Beanstalk Journey” as it was called, included 13 interconnected islands in the sky, as well as one of the first Beanstalk Climbing Towers. The name “Beanstalk” was originally inspired by this climbing tower. The term “The Beanstalk Journey” refers to the design at Catawba Meadows, best described as a Zipline Adventure Park, “like zipping through an Ewok treehouse village.”
In the Spring of 2024, a new endeavor beckoned for Beanstalk Ziplines. Mike pitched an idea to the city to further develop Beanstalk Ziplines to include a self-guided, multi-level, Aerial Challenge Course situated between the first few treehouses of the Zipline Course. The city approved the plan and construction began in March, with the grand opening taking place on June 12, 2024.
